I decided to apply for Ada Developers Academy in Seattle, WA. It is recommended that the applicants complete the Jumpstart before applying, so I’m documenting my adventure of applying for the program starting from the beginning of the application until I’ve received the results. The Jump Start is actually about Ruby curriculum developed by Ada’s instructional staff.
There are readings about learning styles, social justice, setting up the coding environment, and the like, before the actual Ruby tutorials.
Here is what I did on the first day learning Ruby. You can click run and interact with the console from repl.it. Pretty cool!
